I think the Obama camp has been leaking fake disunity stories for suspense value
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 08:36 PM by Hippo_Tron
They of course knew all along that Bill and Hillary would deliver the goods. And we all know that the party was far less divided than the media was reporting. But in the end, it makes for better television if there is suspense about whether the party will be united and then Bill and Hillary come out and suddenly make it happen.

6. It certainly made for some drama. Could be they just didn't make up
until the convention because they didn't have to and it worked out well for both the clintons and the obamas.

11. Is it bad that I don't think of it as cynical but brilliant?
The mainstream media, as far as I'm concerned, is useless in terms of actual journalism. So Democrats might as well learn to manipulate them at least as well as the Republicans do, if not better.
