37. TPM's Josh Marshall is reporting that Kerry wrote the whole thing himself.
More Kerry

08.28.08 -- 12:01PM
By Josh Marshall

Interesting addendum to the Kerry speech story. I hear on good authority that he wrote the whole thing himself.

And I think he just set the tone of how we are going to take down McCain this fall.

24. I can just hear him answer, "I've been through worse."

I don't think he's about revenge so much as justice. Putting things right for his country.

19. He's terrific and he always has been...
...it's hard to rank Bush Administration crimes, since they're all so appalling, but it really all starts with election theft. Twice. And we lost TWO of the best Presidents we ever might have had, for 8 years of the worst.

But thank you John Kerry for trying, and for all that you do. :loveya:

26. Loved every minute on CSPAN
Kerry came to the podium with a chain saw in one hand and a sledgehammer in the other. He tore Grampy McShits down brick by brick and there was NOTHING left by the time he was done.

If he had done this four years ago, he be getting renominated for his second term now.

28. Yep. If only he had Dems backing him up instead of siding and caving to Bush
He would have been there. He is doing for Obama what Dems should have done for him. That's attack and hit back. The media refuse to cover that and the response to the swifities.

29. Where was that fight in 2004?
Kerry needed to respond like that starting in August 2004 when the Swiftboat shit came out and kept it going all the way until election day.

33. Do some research
Here's a thread you can start with in the DU research forum:

Swift Liars: Kerry-Edwards Campaign Response
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=358&topic_id=2555

Gives a timeline and speech quotations (that the media did not cover)

So there was plenty of fire from Kerry in 2004, and a lot of fire back at Bush hiding behind the swiftboaters.

Funny thing, TV did not cover that.

Think about how CNN treats Obama. And then double it.

Welcome to DU!
