5. He should have said that in 2004 instead of vigorously defending Bush in interview
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 10:36 PM by blm
after interview. He comes up with some spectacular lines in speeches.....and when the rubber hits the road on ANY M$M news show that asks about Bush's latest strategy, then what does Bill say?

show up to do their utmost for other Dems and Dem voters and for this country and instead showed vigorous support for Bush and his decisions on terrorism and Iraq war while ignoring the Dem nominee. What were YOU working for then?

10. Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, John Kerry
All good Democrats; all made mistakes with regard to Bush and the war. We can't change the past. All we can do now is work together to get the best and brightest people into the WH to start the unenviable task of barn cleaning - a horrid job that must be done.

11. Big difference. When our nominee was against the decision to GO to war when it wasn't needed
as per the weapon inspections, Clinton continued to PUBLICLY SIDE with Bush and DEFENDED Bush vigorously throughout the summer of 2004. There is no equal culpability, plus, Clinton helped Bush SELL the war by advising Dem lawmakers to support Bush on his decision, and Bill used HIS credibility and cache and HIS highly regarded access to intel to make his case.

12. The point being that what he should have/could have/would have done then doesn't matter now
I'll agree that the words Clinton spoke might have been better spoken 4 years ago, but saying them now reminds us of why we don't need President McSame, which is the topic of the convention.

America only gets worse with John McSame as President - you & I know that.If McSame replaces Justice Stevens, it's not just "Roe" that'll be overturned. You may see cases such as "Miranda" "Gideon" "Tinker v. Des Moines" and "Brown v Board of Ed" overturned or severely limited in scope. America will accelerate into a long dark spiral. If the Clintons can help, I'll take their help.

15. The day they EVER side with Democrats over BushInc and the secrecy and privilege of the powerful,
THEN maybe I will see some smidgen of good in their 'words' directed to a Democratic crowd.
