Quick Question: Why are Democrats still affording McCain ANY praise at all?
I'm getting tired of Democrats going on and on about how good a man and how much of a friend John McCain is to them. Get the fuck over it already. McCain is the ENEMY. He wants to deny people the basics and necessities in life. They are making commercials for McCain at our own damn convention.

I'm sick of it.

6. It doesn't work that way though imo - people see it as a character endorsement.

4. Dems are decent people who always honor service...
I wish they'd just stop mentioning his service, and stick with his poor judgment and horrible policies.

7. Let me be cynical for a moment
Let's say the unlikely event happens and Obama loses. Those people have to work with him. Gotta keep the peace... you know, play politics.

8. Strategy
Even though we have many, many Democratic and Republican soldiars that are supporting Obama the campaign must be very careful about how they attack McCain.

McCain only has his Vietnam POW status and if that is outright attacked by Obama the MSM will fill the simple minds with lies.

The way they are doing it is stealth praise him for his service and then slash him a thousand tiny cuts. Don't forget that McCain and his campaign are very thinned skinned and they will become more erratic as time goes by.

15. I don't like it either--All they have to say is
"I know John McCain loves this country but . . ."

I hate it when they go on about his military service, torture, heroism, etc. It's just not necessary and it reinforces McCain's theme. Acknowledge he's patriotic and go after him.

17. Part of McCain's alleged appeal is that he's always being called a "maverick".
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 10:27 PM by antiwarwarrior
You can't attack that reputation with strict partisanship, regardless of the truth of the argument. This approach allows us to make the argument, "that's the person he used to be, he's not that anymore."

19. Maybe the Dems are trying to get support from centrist voters who might admire McCain.
Remember, not everyone agrees with you. We need their votes too if we are going to win.

21. Because Obama's running a clean campaign, and this hurts McCone more than anything.
To have his friends in the Senate lavish praise on his love for his country and his service, and then slice and dice his judgment and fitness to lead... it makes him sound like a nice grandpa you don't mind having around but god forbid he drives the car.

23. Look, he's an American hero...I am serious about this...
AND yes, he's also a scum sucking right wing whore, who is so weak he let BUSH and Rove fuck his family in the ass in South Carolina in 2000.

They basically said "he's got a nig**r daughter from some tramp" - " and he's unstable, from being a P-O-W unlike our guy "dubya"

"Dubya" was snorting coke off of a hookers belly, while McCain was getting the shit beat out of him.

What a country.

I don't care if McCain was drinking Chateau, and getting blown every day, five years in a freaking cage means something.
He came back his body broken and scarred, his mind scarred as well for what he "may" have done.
Assuming he was treated "better" than others.

He's been a scumbag since the day his plane landed in the United States from Viet Nam.
He dumped his crippled wife for money and opportunity.
Whore.
Scumbag.

Keating 5 and MLK's birthday.
You fucking crook and racist scumbag.
And yes...
WAR HERO.

But, just because your a WAR HERO Sen. McCain, that does not preclude me from saying that if I had the chance to shake your hand, I would tell you this...

"I admire your service Sir, now for the good of the country Sir, go the fuck home... pick one... please"

WAR HERO, yeah.
Like my mom used to say, "That and fifty cents will get you on the subway".
