He told the truth and the Republicans think it's hell. I think that the average person watching was very impressed with Biden.

14. Actually Gergen was spot on saying that Biden's speech WAS GOOD
He made a remark that Biden was able to show both his working class and Barack's working class backgrounds as well as other successful messages. Todd is misspeaking (surprisingly)...

16. thanks for correcting me
confession...my roomate had been watching CNN and I was watching the MSNBC post analysis in the other room, maybe she confused Gergen with someone else?

2. What the hell are they thinking?
What is there rational for thinking that it was anything but effective.

3. Toobin said that too but Gloria Borger and Paul Begala disagreed. They said it was a good speech
to reach the people who like the "real" speak.

4. The convention is going well
When the media is trying to tear everything apart. The "divisive" angle is gone now, so now it's about looking for another way to hold the Democrats down.

5. Chuck Todd also said that the reason states were yielding was because Senator Clinton
had won more delegates in those states. We all know how that prediction turned out.

7. I turned the channel to the Boomerang channel.
I'd rather watch cartoons than sit up and watch these idiots talking out their asses.

What do you expect them to say about a speech that took a crowbar to their boy?

15. A little bit too scripted, considering it's Biden
But I still think it was effective and people will get a good idea of the people Biden and Obama are.

18. Biden was good, but he's better off the cuff, in debates, on the stump.
I always thought it would be difficult for him to completely trash McCain since they are actually friends. He'll be great on the stump.

19. Agree that I think Biden is BEST when he's on a rant and passionate about
something (like veterans rights) than he is when it's scripted. This was good, but to those of us who "know" him better, we can tell the difference.

21. yep, if you're used to watching Biden it was not that suprising, but as an intro
for people who aren't familiar with him, it was strong. But yeah, this Biden junkie could tell he was scripted, which was necessary for the venue.

not so much with the punditry. Biden's speech was incredibly effective. I loved it.

20. Chuck Todd is terrible.
He should stick to crunching numbers and counting up delegates.
