McCain's Healthcare Advisor: "There are NO uninsured Americans"
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 10:54 PM by IWantAnyDem
But the numbers are misleading, said John Goodman, president of the National Center for Policy Analysis, a right-leaning Dallas-based think tank. Mr. Goodman, who helped craft Sen. John McCain's health care policy, said anyone with access to an emergency room effectively has insurance, albeit the government acts as the payer of last resort. (Hospital emergency rooms by law cannot turn away a patient in need of immediate care.)

"So I have a solution. And it will cost not one thin dime," Mr. Goodman said. "The next president of the United States should sign an executive order requiring the Census Bureau to cease and desist from describing any American – even illegal aliens – as uninsured. Instead, the bureau should categorize people according to the likely source of payment should they need care.

"So, there you have it. Voila! Problem solved."

Dallas Morning News

HEY FUCKWIT, you get the care, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY FULL FUCKING FARE FOR IT!

More of the FUCKING SAME. You don't like how the numbers come out, alter the methodology for producing the numbers.

Death by FUCKING SPREADSHEET!

1. God fucking damn it.
Do they not get how much more it costs to provide emergency room care instead of preventive care so that ER trips aren't needed? And how much ER time is taken up by "common bugs" that could otherwise be diagnosed and treated by a simple thirty minute procedure, and thus forces people who really need immediate care to wait?

5. Run this ad tomorrow:
McCain's solution to the healthcare problem in America is not to do anything differently with hospitals, pharmacuetical companies, or people in need of care. He doesn't plan on lowering your costs or subsidizing the costs you'll have to pay for medical care. He simply wants to change one word on one governmental form that you never see. You're still expected to pay, and you'll still need to file bankruptcy if you can't afford to - but McCain will be able to run a TV ad saying that there are no longer any un-insured American's. But they will still be sick, dying and unable to pay.

FUCKING IDIOT.
