Does an "honorable" man think it's funny to make up a song about bombing people?

I'm liking the convention so much, but I really wish people would stop prefacing attacks on McCain by pointing out that he's "honorable." He's not. Period.

2. There is a distinction which needs to be made
McCain has always hidden behind the facade of an honorable war veteran who served as a POW. It is VERY difficult to attack this directly without appearing (or giving an opening where you can be accused of appearing) to be anti-Military or somehow unpatriotic. Bush had 9/11 to wrap himself in the flag, McCain has Vietnam. You saw how difficult it was to attack Bush's TNG record which was much more open and shut than McCain.

Yes, I agree with you that he is not honorable. The comments made by his fellow prisoner more than amply illustrate that.

3. Honor is a gift one must give themselves daily
to maintain meaning.

Sometimes things can change over thirty-five years. Benedict Arnold was a great hero of the Revolution but his name is still synonymous with treachery. Whatever heroism McCain displayed in the past, he appears to be waking up every day and making undoing it job #1.

Judas was a disciple guys. John suffered a lot but that doesn't buy him license to run the country in a ditch.
