Bill Clinton - The Man We Knew He Was and the Democrat We Hoped He Could Be
Thanks Bill. Thank You for eight great years.

Thank You for the contrast that we are now forced to see.

Thank You for supporting our nominee entirely.

Thank You for a memorable and awesome 3rd Convention night.

Thank You for making the pundits crap their collective pants.

On to November!!!

3. Bill Clinton reminded us once more
Just what it was that he had that got him elected President, and got
him comfortably re-elected even with a Republican majority in both houses
of Congress. The republicans knew that even with the Senate and the House,
they had no chance at the White House in 1996.

There may be a Republican alive who can deliver a speech like that, but if there
is, he or she is not in Congress, not in a Governor's mansion, and sure as hell
isn't running for president or vice president this year.

The Republicans had better trot out their Guns'N'God slogans and their flags,
because they certainly don't have anyone who can inspire like that. They may have
some fiery hate-mongers, but they don't really inspire, they only raise people's
blood pressure temporarily.

America's strength should be "the power of example, and not an example of power."

I defy the radical right to try and match THAT one!!!!!!!!!!!

4. We're the Party of Class.
And I thought both the Clintons were simply SPLENDID! Sure made me proud.

This Obama supporter is hoping that all those who may have turned away from the Clintons will come to feel good about them again. They're an asset to this campaign, this party, and the progress of this country. They're the last winners we have. And they made us awfully proud of them again, I think. Elegant and impressive. Expansive and magnanimous. Team players and excellent sports. And frickin' BRILLIANT!

6. And No Thank You for NAFTA... you screwed all the working people with that
and you screwed the single poor parents struggling to get on their feet but you didn't fund day care help or training and you left them to drift while jobs were sent over sea's and the rest of the country lauded your "vision" but the working class knew what you did and we remember and that's why your wife didn't get elected!! No to NAFTA, CAFTA and what have ya?! You shamed the whole party and even though the Dems didn't care about B-J-M, the GOP DID and then you lied and we, the people have been punished severely for the last eight years due to your losing sight of the prize you so eloquently told us in a firebrand speech to seek and strive for but You abandoned that theme when you allowed "your vision" to get sidetracked and even though you balanced the budget and we ALL sacrificed to do that... you lost sight and you lost us!! :( Then your wife voted YES with Bush to go to war in Iraq and the hell kept on and on and on and on... WE REMEMBER, BILL!!!  We remember what could have been and what we lost for the last 8 years and you are part of the blame! You have a guilt that you seem to refuse to acknowledge and that is what I didn't hear in your tone tonight. I still heard arrogance and self importance and you are not more important than The People! Learn that!! :grr:
