Mika and Joe were making fun of the backdrop for Obama's acceptance
speech tonight. They were making fun of the columns. Out of the blue Mika says something about the Messiah? What the hell is wrong with these people? Then one of the others was saying he could have purchased more campaign commercials instead of putting in the columns. They were saying it did not work for Bush and it won't for Obama. I mean just utter bullshit. Why do they care if he has columns on the stage? Damn...can't they figure out something else to complain about.

1. Didn't work for Bush? Mika and Joe must not be very observant (they are, however, irrelevant).

about silly things. They needed something to make fun of. Then Mika threw out the Messiah comment.

4. WTF is up with that?
To my untrained eye, it looks like a replica of the presidential office in the West Wing. What is wrong with that? If he just had a soapbox and a mike, they'd be bitching that he wasn't taking the role seriously enough.

Gads...I cannot wait for the media hatefest to end. Even while showing footage of Obama and Biden, they were talking up McCain.

7. idiots
they just don't understand the symbolism. Along with the columns, there are going to be rows. It represents a spreadsheet, to illustrate that Obama will sort out the mess, straighten out the budget...

8. Can the columns be stripped off before tonight's broadcast? Certainly the columns fail as architecu...
fail as architecture, being unimaginative and not being unobtrusive. They must have been put there by people other than those who designed the arena stage, which I was admiring as delegates streamed out last night.

In my opinion, the columns very likely are purely decorative and the steel beams they likely are hiding would be preferable as background for tonight's activities.

Is it too late for someone to take charge and make a set change?

9. I think the idea is to keep up constant diss-ing, it really doesn't matter
about what. Anything mentioned that has to do with Obama and the convention will be painted as negative. Just another form of brain washing from our Corporate Media.

19. Wannabees?
Here's Scumbucket CAMPAIGNING AND FUNDRAISING in August 2004 for Bush, AFTER he got his first low-rated show.

Tell me if any Democrat would keep a news job after doing this.

14. In my opinion, the symbolism went over their empty heads.
I thought that the columns are a reference to ancient Greece, the birthplace of DEMOCRACY. Something the republicans do not understand.

15. That's the GOP talking point of the day
and Joe and Mika have been given their marching orders (along with countless others).
what I really want to know is what was their price... what did it take...
what have they received to be such sycophantic flaks for the GOP.
Is this what all the domestic wiretapping has been about..
or are they simply stuffing offshore bank accounts with every lie they broadcast.

I really don't care what they have to say because it is clear they are in the bag and on the take.
It's now just fascinating to study the form of what they do... the dark propaganda art.
And you don't have to look very hard to see it.

Do you suppose there's a new Woodward and Bernstein somewhere who are
brave enough to expose the inner workings of the GOP controlled media?
Do you suppose there is someone smart enough to follow the money?

C'mon, shine a light on these creeps.

17. Yes!! And we need a dozen, perhaps hundreds of OUTFOXES
The journalistic profession needs to be shamed and shamed hard into cleaning up their own.
They need to earn the public trust every day... and right now, they there is very little. They've caved into greed.
Journalism is on its way to extinction unless the writers stand up and prove they have the integrity
and the guts to expose and oust the propagandists from their ranks.

I truly feel this is one of the most urgent things we have to do to heal our society.
The media is diseased and it needs drastic fixing.

18. Perhaps a gigantic flag pin backdrop would be better.
The only positive thing I can say about the Morning Joe coverage is that I do enjoy it when Joe gives his version of how the Democrats should gut the republicans in a speech.
He admits the republicans cannot govern. Someone should take one of those rants out of context and post a youtube.
