Finally, a TV critic nails the nasty, biased convention coverage
Here's our favorite local TV critic "Dave on Demand", and his great take on the cable networks tripping over each other to dis the dems:

"Here's a modest proposal to improve the Democratic convention: Let Oprah host the whole shebang instead of giving her just a drop-in appearance. That way you get better ratings, more network airtime, and an overall sweeter tone.

Which would be a big improvement over the current situation, in which the Democrats can seemingly do nothing right. It certainly seems that way if you watch the cable news channels, which have painted the event in Denver in bilious tones all week long.

Of course that's what happens when you have an army of analysts, experts and advocates, sitting with their knives sharpened, eager for face time."

Oprah dig aside, he totally gets it:

4. I think all those "Christians" prayers for rain got mis-directed
Instead of raining on Denver, it's going to rain on the Republican's parade. (If you actually believed in that crap)

6. That may also partly explain their behavior THIS week.
Get some extra digs in while they're still getting face time.

5. I watch ...
on C-Span, so that I do not have to listen to the ignorance of FOX and MSNBC's Matthews and crew.

8. I watch the raw feed on my computer, or PBS
we don't have cable, and the gym's cable system doesn't seem to have C-Span.

The best night for me was while I was working on my computer and listening to the feed, and got to hear all of Montana's governor's speech. Great stuff, but I understand that a lot of the cable/network channels didn't show it!
