That song is about someone whose best days are behind him.

When Obama wins his best days will be ahead of him.

ps: Atlantic City is not about the joys of going down to the shore for a vacation.

2. People hardly ever pay attention to Springsteen's lyrics.
At the end of Born in the USA, the tough guy vet, singly softly "Oh my God no. Oh no no', then screaming. Maybe they remember the scream.
