Mitt Romney.. 55 houses?
4 plus 51 including REIT.. WOW

And then there’s former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, our runaway winner. During the Republican primary, Romney was frequently attacked by his rivals on account of his vast personal wealth. So, how many homes for Mitt? Well, at least four:
-His primary residence in Belmont, Massachusetts, worth $3,474,000. (Nexis)
-A lake home in Wolfboro, New Hampshire, worth more than $10 million.
-A ski lodge in Deer Valley in Park City, Utah.
-A house the Romneys purchased in June of this year in La Jolla, California, worth $12 million.

But there’s more: Romney’s real estate portfolio apparently puts to shame even McCain’s eight properties. According to the ex-gov’s financial disclosure forms filed when he was running for president, Romney holds an interest in 51 different properties through the Whitehall Real Estate Funds. These holdings include apartments in New York, hotels in Italy and Canada, and land in Thailand and France.

Maybe he can let Joe Biden borrow one for a weekend getaway.

3. Good for him
It distracts from the more important point though. it's not that John McCain owns 7 or 8 or however many houses....it's that he had NO CLUE how many he owned, and that he had to pass on the question. He's clueless about his own personal finances, clueless about what kind of car he drives (another question he had to defer to staff on), clueless about how much people pay for health care.

The guy has managed to both suck on the government tit all his life, deride the very government he takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from each year, and then marry into money on top of it.

He's totally clueless. How can we trust him with our country if he's so clueless about his own life?

Romney is a schmuck but I bet you that if you asked him how many homes he owned he'd have answered something accurately or at least dodged the question like a politico, but I guarantee you he knows how many he owns outright (whether or not he would mention the investment fund I don't know, but that's a horse of a different color...kinda like saying that because I have a 401k I own a share in hundreds of companies.)

Anyway....It's NOT about the fact that the McCain's are wealthy. That's a LOSING line of attack. The point is the guy is a freaking nutjob who has NO idea how his $500 italian shoes got paid for, or even that they come from italy probably. They just show up on his shoe rack and he puts them on. That is NOT what we need for a president.

4. Pretty please, pick him
The funny thing is that list doesn't include a Michigan home. You know, the place where Republicans are trying to play him up to be a "hometown boy." He'll be a great VP for McCain.
