When these three words became the mainstay of media reporting, we lost it.
These three words invoke the power to fadeout or drownout, cutting to thinly disguised trolls in reporter costumes to then frame any speech, any presentation, any action in whatever way they want.
These three words give a false sense of security, as if the networks are opening a door for viewers to see what's happening, when in fact they put a chain on the doors and give the commentators the key.
"Let's listen in" is arrogant: It says that attention should always be focused on them, except when THEY are willing to show you a glimpse of what is really happening.
"Let's listen in" is power: It means that the media decides which glimpses are important, which ones support their point of view, and more importantly, it allows them to OMIT whatever they damn well please...
OMIT McCain's gaffes OMIT Kerry's kickass speech OMIT the powerful voice of a woman who lost both legs in Iraq...
These people are in control because too many Americans assume they are witnessing the whole story. WAKE UP AMERICA!!! Don't keep giving them the keys.
So when the idiots are just "listening in" you will already BE THERE, IN THE KNOW, READY TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT!!!
