McCain can't sell out VP announcement
Edited on Thu Aug-28-08 11:21 AM by brooklynite
from the http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/story/news/local/2008/08/28/ddn082808tickets.html">Dayton Daily News:

McCain rally tickets still available

DAYTON — Tickets are still available for Sen. John McCain's Friday, Aug. 29, rally at Wright State University's Nutter Center in Fairborn.

McCain and his wife Cindy will appear at the event, dubbed the "Road to the Convention Rally." Doors open at 9 a.m. and the event begins at 11 a.m.

Tickets are being given away at county GOP offices in southwest Ohio and in Indiana and Kentucky.

Marc Ambinder the The Atlantic reports they're planning to bus in supporters to fill the seats.

Can I suggest local Democrats call to ask for tickets, and see if they're refusing to give them out to all but loyal Republicans? Might be a good sidebar story for the paper.

1. Wow.
How pathetic is that? Wonder how much they'll have to pay those "supporters" they're bussing in.

6. Fortunately for them there's plenty of unemployed people around.
They shouldn't have too much trouble finding enough of them to fill the empty seats at minimum wage.

5. good suggestion
See whether they booted for exposing the Democratic t-shirts underneath the shirts. I'd like to see a whole section of them like the Chinese Olympic cheerleaders in yellow. That would be hilarious!

Apparently, SW Ohioans aren't stupid enough to want to attend the trainwreck.
