It's the Philadelphia Library.

How presumptious.

6. And I'm telling *you* it's recreating the White House. Which make more sense?
Him imitating MLK (yeah, that's not obvious on a day like today) or him looking Presidential walking out of the White House? The Lincoln Memorial doesn't have windows, the set at Invesco does. ;)

13. Jesus....It's NOT any of them exclusively.
The windows make it white house like....but the white house has Ionic columns.

The columns do match the Lincoln memorial, Doric, but the LM has no windows.

So, it's just a mishmosh, multi-purpose, pseudo-classical edifice that evokes the Greek Theater, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, and, indeed, Democracy and the roots of our Civic heritage.

It's that simple.

:hi:

7. Nope, the Library has Corinthian Columns, not Doric...
I don't know that there is a specific building used by the campaign as a point of reference, but I suspect we will learn soon enough.

I'm curious, too!

10. Cooper Union, NYC
Five year program and B of Arch...I'd have to kill myself after all that if I didn't know at least the three classic orders!

I've read that the set will appear to be a Greek theater/public forum by day and the White House by night, it does have windows....

I love the set, do you love the set?

14. I don't know yet.
I've been trying not to pay too much attention to it because of all the hype surrounding it.

I'll check it out tonite and make up my own mind ;)

usually the free library has assorted crazies and ne'erdowells hanging around its innards.

Substitute the press corps for them and voila, Invesco Field!

11. Haven't been there, but I like your take on it!
A wacky assortment of commoners, literati, nut jobs, etc.

A potpourri of personalities.... like "The Lounge"...
