The price of being a non-swing state is that we're spared the endless political ads that states like PA, MI, CO, etc... are getting now. I haven't seen one ad that was not being shown on a cable news show. I catch them all on the internet.

sorry I can't remember exactly what particular channels since I'm usually just listening to tv in the background. Could be either comedy central, msnbc, cnn, or yes. I definitely remember seeing the lame and contrived one about the Hillary supporter who has decided she's going for mccain

Cable news channels often run local ads. I wonder if they're just targeting Nassau/Suffolk counties. Our congresswoman (Nita Lowey) is running unopposed but in Northern Westchester, John Hall is being challenged (Hall got in after he beat Sue Kelly who had been there for many years). My nephew is working on his campaign.
