It's a way for McCain to get in on the action and look classy...and now if Obama bashes him in his speech he might look petty. We can see through it but I'm afraid the average American might not.
Obama should do the same thing next week when McCain gives his speech.

3. The averafge Americans aren't seeing all these ads....
They are produced for all the politcal junkies like us. They show 'em on CCN, MSNBC and run a small buy and then poof!!!!

We are their test market.

16. Exactly.
Plus that's how the McCain campaign will deal with their money deficit in the general election. Put out ads all the time, make a small TV buy, then ride the wave of free press.

5. So far...
the other speakers have not "bashed" McCain. They have been respectful of him and strongly and firmly criticized his policies. Obama will do the same in a very classy way which is the only way he knows how.

15. IMHO, the Dems have spent too much time sucking up to McCain
I nearly vomited during Bill Clinton's speech, where he more or less said that McCain's a good guy.

They need to STFU about McCain's service...why help him build up the "hero" image, when he wants to run this country into the ground?

17. I fully expected that line to be on the front page
of the NY Post this morning. It was the only negative to a pretty damn good speech.

7. The most important thing Obama can do to neutralize McCain's current attacks
is to appeal to American's sense of fairness by loudly stating that it is UNAMERICAN to attack Obama for "being Muslim" or for being "exotic" or "foreign" --- racist attacks, smears, all of the attacks coming from the McCain camp are UNAMERICAN.

8. Do you mean the one where he congratulates Obama on his nomination?
It was brilliant and well done. Gotta give him credit.

If it goes the way we think it will, McCain will be back in the Senate and this commercial will go along way in bringing about a peaceful return to duty.

10. Barack should acknowledge the ad tonight,
and use it as evidence that McCain will say and do anything. Contrast it with the lying Iran ad.
