God's Wrath Scuttles GOP Convention
Remember when some crazy preacher put out a video asking people to pray for rain in Denver?

1. Didn't Uncle Chuckles pray for a hurricane to hit some other town?
I think having Gustav hit NOLA after spilling a bunch of offshore oil would show that God has a sense of humor. And that he's a Democrat.

3. You have to wonder how these jerks...

...reconcile all of this.

Some misguided fool prayed for rain on Obama's speech. If the rain had come, you can
bet that they would all be suggesting that God sent the rain and that he did this
because he doesn't like Obama.

Well, the weather last night was absolutely perfect. Dream weather. Are these assholes
concluding that God loves Obama and wants him to win now? After all, bad weather would
have been positioned as a repudiation of Obama, so perfect weather must mean that
God ensorses Obama, right??? :eyes:

Furthermore, this horrendous hurricane, that has the possibility of reaching Cat 4 status,
could do damage to the Republicans on so many levels. It's been reported that Bush's speech
may be postponed, from its original slate on Monday. A hurricane on the Gulf Coast, reminds
everyone of Bush's utter failures with Katrina--when the Republicans are in the middle of
their convention.

So...do these religious Republicans conclude that this hurricane is a sign from God--punishing
them? Or does God only punish the Democrats with bad weather?
