With Palin as McCain's pick, Democrats get to focus on (updated)

  • Republican corruption and scandal

  • Drill, Drill, Drill

  • Hypocrisy on inexperience

  • Hypocrisy on Pro-Life

  • Why McCain passed over Kay Bailey Hutchinson? (Rated 7% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record)

  • Why he passed over more qualified candidates? (judgment)

On edit: Oops, she's pro-life. In fact, she is a creationist

1. Inexperience
First thought: If McCain's entire campaign is premised on the idea that Obama lacks the commander-in-chief readiness for the presidency, how on earth can he possibly continue to make this argument when he's chosen Palin, who's been in high office only two years (half the time Obama has been a Senator) as a back-up commander in chief?

2. Given McCain's age and questionable health, this is VERY POOR JUDGEMENT

I am not saying McCain has a medical condition, but lets face it.

He is fat and out of shape. He is not taking care of his health the way many of the seniors who go to my gym are.

The job is stressful. He does not appear to me to have the stamina of Ronald Reagan.

There is a real possibility that he may have to step down temporarily or permanently for health reasons. Let's say a 10% chance.

How can he expect America to believe Governor Palin is ready to be President?
