A sensible Freeper (yes) criticizes Palin choice, gets it right.
To: Question_Assumptions

Please let them make experience an issue because hers blows Obama’s experience out of the water.

How? How does she blow Obama out of the water in foreign affairs? In defense matters? In trade or immigration or economic matters? Those have been the very areas where McCain has been asking the question "Ready to Lead" to such great effect. It's been one area where Obama has had problems responding. So how is Sarah Palin supposed to be able to ask that question with a straight face?

She's been a governor for 20 months. She has 'managerial experience'. Big deal, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton had more managerial experience and I don't see where that made them any great shakes as a president. John McCain has none. She has a 'bipartaisan' history. Both houses of the Alaska legislature are controlled by Republicans. How bipartisan did she have to be? So what is it exactly in her background that allows us to answer 'yes' to the same 'Ready to Lead?' question being used to such great affect against Obama? The selection of Palin reduces the effectiveness of that weapon. If I'm the Obama camp I'm going to wind up doing the happy dance at this selection. The MSM is already lining up to attack her on experience. They'll attack her on abandoning her family. And I will bet bottom dollar that that whole whispering campaign about her using her influence to get some state cop canned will be on front pages within a week or two. I honestly believe this choice will eventually be recognized as a mistake.

3. Freepers are still idiots even if they oppose Palin
Just because the guy criticized the VP pick doesn't make him "sensible." Carter and Clinton did a lot of good for this country, and the poster attacking them is not "sensible."

7. That's true.
I have come to hear swipes like that as meaningless, unconscious verbal tics that afflict wingnuts even as they say something I partly agree with. They didn't even register with me since I was just thinking about Palin.

Of course you are right, there is a sharp limit on how "sensible" anyone found on FR can be.

6. That freeper has it somewhat wrong. The MSM, as he
calls it, will not attack her on "abandoning her family." The repuke base will take care of that angle.

I'm almost wondering if McCain wants Lieberman so bad he's asked Palin to take the heat and fall so that he can shove Joe in there as a replacement.

I hope so but I'm skeptical that the MSM will do anything of the sort.
