I mean, when they adopted her, it was the fashionable thing to do. All hip couples needed a brown baby to show off how compassionate they were. But, of course, brown babies don't stay babies forever, do they? They become brown adults, and those aren't half as cute. Plus, when they get big, they start eating you out of house and home. And think of the fees for those private schools to keep the kid out of the public eye. And then there's the hassle of having to explain over and over that, no, you husband did not have a fling with the hired help. It's all very wearisome.

Thank God they've finally found a use for the kid, although it would have made for better photos if she'd stayed a baby (kids can be so ungrateful).
