Another instance of bad judgment by Sarah Palin...
With all the scrutiny coming from corporate media over Bristol Palin and her possible fiance' there is one thing that Sarah Palin should have done. No more public appearances by her daughter or her boyfriend. Keep them both out of the limelight.

Two reasons...

1) To protect her daughter. Some reporters and photographers are fucking sharks. They'll do anything for some kind of access.
2) Bristol being out in public puts more focus on her and her pregnancy. People are talking about it and the campaign can't talk about gawd, war-mongering, and guns.

Either way, in the end it should be about protecting your child. That should be the goal of Sarah Palin. She failed her daughter, IMO, by not offering those tools necessary to keep Bristol from getting pregnant. She does it a second time by putting Bristol and Levi into the limelight for political reasons.

If Sarah Palin is willing to use her daughter in such a way...what does that say about her both as a mother and as a political leader?

1. Well, Sarah Palin certainly doesn't have a problem...
...keeping HERSELF out of the limelight.

2. Has anyone found a single instance of Sarah Palin showing good judgement?

3. If its' true that Palin told McCain about Bristol and McCain decided to choose her anyway
Then why didn't they take control of the situation by breaking the story themselves? If they thought that no one would notice or care, that's lethally bad judgment!

4. Bringing the boyfriend means they've given the green light for people to talk about this.
No more 'protect the children'. They've now given the go ahead; it's all fair game.

5. I don't understand the "bring the boyfriend to the Convention" at all.
He should either be working or going to school, shouldn't he?

7. He's not a student anymore...that's all his mother will say...
Levi Johnston, a high school hockey player for Wasilla High School, is not listed on the team roster for 2008-2009, and his mother wouldn't say if he graduated. She said simply he's no longer a student and any further information would have to come from him.

8. focus on the brave young couple, struggling with a huge personal decision
on a national stage? Getting married at the convention (I would not put it past them)? Divert attention from all the wrinkly old guys? A free trip for Johnston?

From what I gather based on his myspace page, Johnston is an immature wanna-be tough guy. But legally he's an adult, capable of making his own decision on who to marry and on what to do with his life. Maybe getting him out of Alaska and to an actual city may be good for him, but I doubt his handlers will let him off the leash. What I wouldn't give to see Rob Riggle or Jason Jones from the Daily Show interview him!

6. If she'd wanted to protect her daughter, she would have told McCain the truth
There's no way she told him because if she had, and he had decided to appoint her anyway, they would have come up with a way to control the story rather than have it blow up in their faces!
