I might be forced to write a book on the Palin choice...
It's so mind-blowingly interesting. I have some other writing that I'm working on, but the incredulity of McCain picking Sarah "Who?" Palin as his VP nominee has overwhelmed me.

I think the day after the election, and it looks like it's Obama's to lose, you will see the real second guessing on her choice begin. Can you imagine getting some pissed off GOP officials on record about Sarah Palin if McCain gets stomped in November? Or one of the people passed over like Mitt Romney?

I'd like to go back to this first week, watch all the Republican spin "She's CIC of the Alaska National Guard"... "She has more executive experience than Obama and Biden" and reflect on that in a chapter.. at least.

McCain picking her was almost so stupid it was brilliant. She's been an excellent distraction from the issues, although evidently not a positive distraction for the McCain campaign. It reads almost like a work of fiction. Small-town mayor gets elected governor and in a year and a half she's a VP candidate, Plus she's a former athlete, former beauty queen, she's attractive has a few things going for her, her teenage daughter is pregnant, rumors swirl about her other child etc etc.

The losing narrative would be fascinating, and you better believe I hope McCain-Palin lose, I think because it would portray an already disoriented GOP in total disarray. "How could he have picked her?" "I knew he lost it right there." People would wonder throughout history, why McCain made such a bonehead move. Telling the historical details that would be compelling.

Of course, if they won, the move would be considered absolutely brilliant. So you're in a situation either way, if he wins, it's brilliant, if he loses it might be considered the dumbest move in presidential election history. All in all, that she was even chosen is an event more fascinating than the woman herself; her interesting background helps augment the story.

What do you mean "if" McCain loses - he's already lost it
:bounce: at least that's my thought on it. :7

1. "The Palin Choice"...
You mean how she's against choice for women when it comes to their bodies...

but she's for choice when it comes to deciding what science to believe in -- creationism, anti-global warming, don't believe in endangered species (cause God must want'em to die out, I guess)

6. yet she praised her daughter's "decision"
Wouldn't you be proud of a daughter who decided not to commit a murder? That is basically what she was saying, since she thinks abortion is murder.

Truly, Caribou Barbie.

2. And as a part of your source material
You can put the National Enquirer in the footnotes!

Wish you had a book ready to come out tomorrow.

7. That's what I'm thinking!
It has to be good. How do you get to such an absurd choice without having a completely bizarre, yet entertaining story to tell?
