I Think Michael Moore Stole The Show!
Honestly, I think that was a very telling moment -- the compassionate repukes went psycho mad dog, showed themselves for what they are IMO, and MM looked calm as a cuke!

And unlike our "brave" President, he didn't CARE if they didn't sign loyalty oaths and give him a requisite ovation. MM ROCKS!

Plus, too many people saw the movie and know it wasn't about "Iraq being a paradise" or anything like that. You think if McCain was gonna put that in his speech he's WATCH THE MOVIE!

1. McCain simply lied in that line
Moore never said or would have you believe that Iraq was a free society whatsoever. He was showing it's serenity, children playing, and then children being maimed and bleeding profusely. It was profoundly poignant. I've really lost respect for McCain.

2. You'd Think...
He would at least SEE the film or if not, cut the line...he's just another lying GWB hack.

That little clip it was like, UM THERE ARE REAL PEOPLE LIVING DOWN HERE, LIVING THEIR LIVES and then KABOOM and the effect on the families....all of this was real footage I don't know what was "disingenous" about it!

6. Yeah...
"I didn't see it, I was just hoping to exploit it like I'm exploiting 9/11 and pimping for a guy I actually can't stand."

Yeah he and Rudy, their all for "unity" and then they do these slams, talk about disingenuous!! Flip flopping? How about GWB saying the war was not winnable, when he's been all "nothing less than total victory" for the last two years. That's pretty much an ultimate flip flop to me!

3. Mathew Gross's blog had a piece on this
John McCain going through the gutter this evening to attack Michael Moore proved that Democratic dreams of McCain coming to some sort of rescue are just that-- dreams.

That said, I thought Moore handled the booing and catcalls with class. And if the delegates thought they were winning over any swing voters with their schoolyard behaivor, they were wrong.

And this at the convention to nominate the man who once pledged to be a uniter, not a divider.... Can anyone recall a time in which mutual respect between the parties was at such a low as was displayed tonight?

11. I Agree
McVain really lowered himself with his attack on Michael Moore and Moore handled it with a lot of grace and class, which I'm sure was not lost on the viewing audience. People naturally don't like it when a speaker of McVain’s stature (LOL) singles out someone in the audience to bully. With Moore laughing McVain off and giving him the "Loser" sign I would not be surprised if this actually helps out the DVD sales of F911.,,Required viewing FOR ALL VOTERS republican, democrat, or independent.

13. I thought it was kind of a lighthearted moment.
The booing seemed more in fun than going 'psycho'. In fact, that was the best part of the evening imo, and about the only part that was entertaining.

The rest of McCain's speech was seemed sort of subdued and uninspiring. Then he sort of went wimpy at the end and almost started crying, then kinda of ran off the stage - after almost going the wrong way, lol. I thought he was pretty bad.

Guiliani started out good, but by the end I was bored. He seemed to repeat the same stuff over and over again. It went on way too long. And the attacks on Kerry were mild I thought, and is stuff we've heard a hundred times before: Kerry voted for the 87 billion, before he voted against it... blah, blah, blah,.... Can't they think of something new? And how about the part where he said during the attack on 911 that he told his Chief of Police that he's glad George Bush is president - during the attack he said this! WTF? LOl. I don't buy that for a minute; that sounded ridiculous. He was better than McCain, but he wasn't very good either.

The other stuff that went on wasn't very good either. Why are these people still crying about 911? I thought that was kind of pathetic. We should be beyond that kind of response by now. I thought that seemed kind of weird. And the set for the widows looked really cheap. It was just a black background with the date on it. I guess they were trying to be understated. And that podium looked like a bunch of stacked up cardboard boxes. Who picked that? heh. I dunno, I just wasn't moved at all - and I get moved about 911 very easily.

Anyhow, the talking heads are raving on tv, and I couldn't disagree more. I thought it was a poor night for the GOP. I'd give the whole night about a C- at best.

14. The DU democrats who forgot McCain was a Republican?
I hope he got through to them tonight. The man is a whore who will swallow any load of garbage W chooses to dump on him. SUpposedly McCain it thinking about running in 2008 and has to shore up his name among the radical-rightists. Like they would ever trust him to do anything but lick their asses.

No fool like an old fool.

I would have loved to be inside Michaels head! "Thank Mr. McCain. You just made me another $100 million!!!"

After that pathetic display by McCain I will DEFINITELY be buying a copy of Fahrenheit 9/11!!

McCain could have AT LEAST watched the movie!!

19. Amazing grace how shrill the sound of hate filled rightwing fools!
"Let us pray and sing and crucify Michael Moore."

The Left's uncrowned champion. He stole their thunder. Rained on their parade. Scared them so much they will work overtime to further blacken his name.

He looked strong and fearless laughing in their livid faces.

I thank my lucky stars that there are still Americans who understand what we are really fighting for.
