Dems start own House floor campaign ~ "Republican Record of Failiure"
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) kicked off a floor campaign on Monday that will highlight what he calls the “Republican record of failure” in the run-up to the November election.

Hoyer will highlight Democratic efforts to pin current economic woes on Republicans by reminding voters that, while Democrats have run Congress for two years, Republicans held total control for six years before that.

“Every time they try to change the subject, every time they pretend to be agents of change, we will answer with the simple fact of their failure,” Hoyer said in his short floor speech on Congress’s first day back from August recess.

It is also a response to the steady drumbeat of Republican criticism on energy that lasted through the August break with a Republican “speak-in” on the darkened House floor.

5. Excellent! That's what I am talking about. Get the Democratic Congresswomen in front of the cameras
and pledge a Contract with American Women to protect their reproductive rights, equal pay, protection against domestic violence, childcare reform, health insurance portability and bread and butter issues that Americans care about. We need to get in front of the cameras with gimmicks that the MSM love!
