Gee, no record of military service, despite being of draft age (I think) for the Vietnam War. Another chickenhawk?

Anyway, this guy is about as far right as one can get. What is this "elitism" crap?

>>'One does not have to accept Papal infallibility to appreciate a case persuasively made, using theological, moral, and prudential arguments. This book will convince many readers, whatever their faith, that good elites are legitimate, desirable and, yes, necessary.' The Secret Story of a Cult Apologist features a picture of Paul Weyrich and Morton Blackwell with the American head of TFP, which is the parent organization of CESNUR, the cult apology network for cults such as Scientology."

2. Kind of iffy on the chickenhawk thing

Born: November 16, 1939 in La Jara Colorado; raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

He turned 18 in 1957, too late for Korea. He was 25 when the Gulf of Tonkin resolution passed. So he was just barely too old to be drafted for Viet Nam, although he was young enough to have volunteered - had he wanted too.

5. He's exactly two years older than I am.
And when I got out of college in 1964, I had to decide what to do.

I entered the Navy Reserve.

7. but wasn't that 2 years
basically the cusp of the cutoff date?

Yeah, the guy could have enlisted. But he wasn't required to do anything to avoid the draft that I can tell.

8. Check out this quote by him that Atrios found:
From here: http://atrios.blogspot.com/2004_08_29_atrios_archive.html#109395577363959924

TLI's attitude toward gays was summed up by its president, Morton Blackwell, in a speech titled "Survival Values," in which he declared, "I believe it could be demonstrated statistically that in the last ten years major network television productions have portrayed sympathetically fewer clergy than homosexuals. And in doing so they have killed a lot of people. Literally killed them by leading them into temptation... Studies indicate that about one third of former homosexuals have reformed themselves."

A homophobe who hates veterans, what a combo!
