Kerry needs to go on "60 Minutes," PRONTO!
"60 Minutes" is the place one goes to get one's campaign back on track. Without "60 Minutes" (and Hillary), where would Bill Clinton have been?

Kerry needs to get his ass on "60 Minutes" a few days after the Repug Convention is over ... either ALONE, or offering up a few of HIS Swiftboat Brothers in Arms.

He needs to give a better answer to the Iraq vote, and he needs to OWN both his Vietnam service AND protest. He needs to BE WHO HE IS -- and be proud of what he's done. And he needs to talk about how disgusting the Swiftboat people are, especially considering the questions around Bush's service record and the fact that Bush HAS made his TANG service an issue with his flight-suited "Mission Accomplished flight."

And Kerry needs to NOT try to PARSE everything ... well, maybe I wasn't in Cambodia, well maybe I did get a self-inflicted wound well maybe maybe blah blah blah.

Say it. Correct it. OWN IT. Be yourself. Sheeple will vote for a phony like Bush, but they smell phoniness in Democrats a mile away, for some strange reason.

The Kerrys and the Edwardses together were fine on "60", but they acted like they were at a picnic. The PICNIC IS OVER.

3. I think that's a fine idea...
it would help them consolidate the lead they already have according to the Zogby poll.

7. The talking head pundits
would probably say he was panicking...he is in trouble, etc.

Compare it to Bill Clinton going on to save his campaign.

I think he needs to act confident; he needs to show everyone that the Swift Boat Liars have not hurt him.

Just my opinion...not a political strategist...you could be right.

10. I am sure he will be accused of all sorts of things. :) He could
make a joke about how nice it is to be on television and not have to pay for the airtime just to dispel some of the desperation issues.

6. And 60 minutes is watched by a whole lot of older people
who, for some reason, say "It's true; it was on 60 Minutes".

9. Uh, "for some reason?"
How about because it's about the only news program you can trust anymore. At least it WAS, under Don Hewitt. It's the ONLY news program I really trust.

8. How do you know that the Undecided aren't totally turned off
by the sham of a convention. All conventions are staged to a point, but this one is just, can I say it .... REPUGNANT!!!

My sister isn't really political, and she thought the 9/11 exploitation was shameful. And, she mentioned to me that she heard a lot of people mention Saddam, and the Taliban and Al Qaeda, but she never heard anyone utter the name Osama bin Laden.

Does anyone remember hearing anything about OBL?
