I contacted Bush/Cheney Headquarters.
Phone: 703.647.2700 | Fax: 703.647.2993 | Email: BushCheney04@GeorgeWBush.com

I spoke with a rep about the purple heart band-aids and smear ads stating it was an insult to every veteran who has ever served. She didn't deny it came from the party (would investigate) but tried to say the media always makes a big deal out of things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made sure to state this was about the veterans and any political party should be ashamed to be associated with this - she has received a ton of calls so please keep this going.

"The bandages were handed out by Morton Blackwell, a longtime GOP activist from Virginia..."

"Morton Blackwell is the president of the Leadership Institute, a non-partisan educational foundation he founded in 1979. His institute prepares conservatives for success in politics, government and the news media. Over the years the Leadership Institute has trained more than 35,000 students. It currently has revenue of $7 million per year..."

Here is his organization's Contact Us page (thanks to SoCalDem). I suggest that you click on the "Donations" link and tell them how much money you changed your mind about giving them due to his actions!

10. Be sure to mention
When you email the Leadership Institute, throw back a few of the standard astroturf letter phrases: "As a lifelong Republican" or "I've always voted for conservative candidates" and talk about how you're going to vote for Kerry now all because of Mr. Blackwell's pink slips.

They're almost sure to recognize the tactic of lying about your voting history since they use it all the time. It will make your email zing 'em on a couple of levels.

Extra points if you have a name like Robert Johnson or Jane Hall, which could be any of several people, one of whom might actually BE a lifelong Republican!

13. Ever notice how the most fucked-up, small-minded republicans
all look so fucking uptight and repressed? It looks like this shmuck has never been at the receiving end of a blow-job in his life.

8. WHY call the Reps?

The quicker the Republicans put out this fire, the quicker the media can return to their pro-Bush circle jerk.

Why ON EARTH would any of you call the Republicans detailing things they are doing wrong. We need them doing this shit for the next 3 days, ad nauseum. Instead of calling them on it and making them change paths, we should allow these evil pricks enough rope at which point we can then kick the chair from underneath them.

If Falwell goes on a “Culture War” tirade should we call the RNC? Hell no…Call the press, the media and our people so they can jump on it. For goodness sakes…if you are coaching in a football game and you see the other coach running stupid plays YOU DON’T TELL HIM.

You exploit those plays and win the game.

11. Because Unlike Dole
we shouldn't play "Political Hardball" with the veterens sacrific.

If you saw a bunch of republicans kicking a guy in the ribs would you get them to stop or would you call the media to show what bastards they were?

15. As a wife of a veteran I am more than just
disgusted.

Also this is a nice denial of service attack, if we happen to have enough emails going in.

:-)

Not that we would do one on purpose, but enough people email them... their site will slow down
