1. Grand Rapids is rabidly right wing. Gerald Ford would be burned at the stake for heresy.

That area has been purged of "moderate" Republicans, beings who no longer exist except in the far reaches of the Northeast and Northwest.

Southwest lower Michigan is McCain country. Yuck.

Not all of SW Mi. is McSame country. In fact the margin is shifing more each year to Indep. or Dem. voters.
