first of all, I'm sorry, but McCain's suit looked cheap and Obama's looked awesome. I mean, empirically, Obama looks about 1000 times better and that really does have an affect.
Obama seemed confident, assured, knowledgable, commonsense, unshakable, already seemed like a world leader.
McCain had a shaky voice, resorted to a lot of historical stories that probably very few people cared about, had a few weird moments ("I've got a pen!" "I'm the sheriff!" etc), seemed like his only main point was that he's been around a long time, at times used this voice I call his DRAMATIC voice (husband said it sounded really sarcastic), he had very little real substance, told more than a few outright lies (which Obama called him on), sounded like a simpleton, really ("when I came home from Vietnam, I saw our veterans and I felt sad").
It was very weird (McCain). And I do believe any objective analysis would say Obama won and not even by a slim margin, but by a pretty wide one.
