Why the heck is Chuck Todd putting PA and MI as tossups latest polls are moving towards Obama
PA polls since 9/21:

Muhlenburg Tracking Poll of PA 49/42 for Obama
Survey USA 50/44 for Obama
Cnn/Time 53/44 for Obama
RAS 49/45 for Obama

http://www.pollster.com/polls/pa/08-pa-pres-ge-mvo.php

And Michigan polls since 9/21:

Selzer 51-38 Obama
Cnn/Time 51/46 Obama
EPIC/MRA 48/38 Obama
RAS 51/44 Obama

Why are these states considered tossups?

2. To make it look like a race.
It makes for good drama when Obama is leading in traditionally Red states like IN and NC, so they have to throw in MI and PA, traditionally Blue states, to make McCain look good.

4. Because he, Tom Brokaw, and David Gregory can't wear their McCain-Palin buttons to work...
And they have a pact to sow doubt and fear among Obama supporters at least once during every TV segment?

5. Yeah. Last week it was "white women."
Now Todd is saying Obama has a problem with "older white Democrats." Why don't they ever report that John McCain has a problem with just about everybody EXCEPT "older white" voters?

Enough with this propaganda!

We're fine here in librul New Haven.

Have a nice day, folks. :hi:

15. Of course, not YOU! It's the 'meme' of Chuck Todd and other doubting Thomases
who want us to believe that "Obama has a problem with __________________."

6. Chuck Todd desperately wants a close race so he can play with that damn board
and look like he's important. The state polls are showing he's way off on those "toss-ups".. at least the blue one's that he clames are now toss-ups. An 8 point lead is not "toss-up" for crying out loud.

11. Horse Race
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 07:16 PM by IWantAnyDem
It's gotta be a horse race.

So, if Obama leads by eight in the national polls, redefine what "tossup" is in the state polls to make the electoral college a horse race.

17. Because it fits the horse race narrative he and the MSM are selling
That's why. PA and MI are off the table for McCain.

18. I wondered why. According to some poles for PA, Obama is either 7% or 8% ahead.
