Last week, I noted with amusement how, on his morning show, Scarborough blasted Obama for not running back to Washington with McCain. At the time, he said that "it is the responsible thing to do . . . You go back {to Washington}, you fight, it's back and forth until the deal is done."
But later that day, on Race for the White House, he criticized McCain for doing just that, saying, "I would have stayed out of town. He over-thought himself. He was too clever by half. Stay the hell out of Washington, DC while you’re bailing out Wall Street tycoons."
Well, he flip-flopped again. On this morning's show, Joey went back to insisting that, far from staying "the hell out of Washington," both candidates needed to be IN Washington.
"My only concern was that {McCain} didn't come back, as well as Barack Obama, yesterday. This is our economic Pearl Harbor and the fact that neither of these guys decided to come back to their jobs, what they get paid for in the most significant piece of economic legislation that they will face over the next eight years if they are president of the United States was concerning to me. I think they actually should have spent MORE time in Washington, DC. And the fact that they didn't shows that neither of these men are in the center of the action here . . . He {McCain} should have been here and Obama should have been here . . . I would have liked to have seen both of them here."
And, of course, Mika sat there nodding and uh-huhing him as if he were the the wisest man on earth, never bothering to point out what she clearly knew - that Scarborough has been babbling all over the farm and can't even keep his OWN opinion straight.
