Obama's in Reno today, and I will be seeing him speak for the first time.

He is speaking at the University of Reno, Nevada quad, where I saw Edwards in '04. It's a pretty good venue, and I hope he draws a big crowd here in this swing county of Washoe in this swing state of NV. I was told McCain canceled his trip here - he was to speak on Thursday here in Reno. I have no idea why he canceled, as I have been busy prepping for volunteering at the Obama event, and launching canvassing walks with other volunteers this past weekend. The thought did cross my mind that he may not want to come the same week Obama is here, as he'd likely draw a much smaller crowd than Obama, and that would be bad press. Anybody know why he canceled? I'll look it up later, as I'm getting ready to head out.

I hope to post pictures later, as I have tasked my daughter to snap some shots for me, in the event that I will not be able to see him up close.

Any NV or N CA DUers out there who will be going to see Obama?

County - if we turn blue, NV turns blue. We (Dems) are within 3,000 some odd votes of exceeding registered Repugs here in Washoe County. We can do this, and Obama's visit was well-timed. I also love the Repugs squirming at McCain's cancellation. :hi:
