2. I believe that he will have about 333 EV...many leads for Obama are solid
and based on a major gaffe I do not think that it will change.

4. Not by 130EV though
I suspect the OP is a bit optimistic but I doubt we'll be much into 11/5 before it's a done deal. Then again I predicted a HRC candidacy this far ahead of primary voting so I'm not batting 1.000 ;)

26. I certainly hope you are wrong
Because if it's not decided on 11/4, it WILL be stolen. There's no way in HELL this election can be legitimately close. There was no way for Chimpy to legitimately win 2004, considering he lost 2000, and never had more support than that except maybe for the first week after 9-11-01, when people were in such fucking shock they would have literally followed Hitler if he would have asked them.

No way this one isn't projected by Midnight EST.

5. Department of Counting Chickens
And besides, how dare you give Ohio to McCain at 9:00? That one's gonna be a nail-biter. You won't even have a quarter of the precincts in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Dayton counted by 9:00.

:-)

12. Virginia closes their polls pretty early, as I recall, that's going to be a good indicator
If Virginia is called for Obama before the other crucial states then I will start celebrating pretty early. If Virginia goes to McCrap that means Ohio probably will too and we'll be up all night scared shitless waiting for them to call Colorado.

13. Honestly I believe the last week of campaigning will tell us more than election night does.
In fact, today speaks volumes.... instead of heading back to DC as expected, McCain made a last-minute surprise trip to Kansas City, which I think tell us that his internal polling in Missouri isn't looking pretty. }(

In the last week, if McCain essentially abandons Virginia, Colorado, Nevada and North Carolina for Ohio, Florida and Missouri, we'll know he's in trouble.

27. He has no hope if he abandons the states you listed...
We'll know he's in trouble if he cuts down in MI and PA. Those are his biggest offensive stomping grounds. He's essentially playing defense at this point, because the two states are solidifying in their support for Obama. However, maybe he'll cut down in those and throw money at MN due to close polling (Palin's accent may be helping there). Granted, the odds of MN flipping are very low.

I think at this point, McCain should be looking at the Bush map, minus NM and IA.

16. I really don't know
about Florida for OBama. and I am from Florida. I have volunteered for OBama but this state is divided in two. North Florida or Central Florida up is all READ.. Palm Beach south is Blue with some reds in between.

I will love to deliver my state to Obama and i am working hard to make this happen. I believe if my state goes to him i will cry my soul out.

But it is a TOUGH battle.

18. Disagree. We're in for an all nighter.
In all likelihood he'll hit 270, but a couple will take more time than you're thinking (FL, OH, for example).
