You knew it was coming...trouble with the VP debate
I have spent my time focused on what would be Palin's excuse to drop out....never thinking that McCain camp would go after the moderator yet:

1. On TVNewser, Alissa Krinsky breaks the news that Gwen Ifill broke her ankle Monday night falling down the stairs in her home while carrying "research related to her moderating duties at Thursday's Vice Presidential debate in St. Louis."

According to TV Newser, despite the injury, Ms. Ifill will still moderate Thursday's debate.

Odd coincidence: According to Wasilla legend, when Sarah Palin was in high school she prevailed in a pivotal basketball game despite having to play on a broken ankle

hmmmm has anyone seen Tanya Harding recently??

2. Michelle Malkin and World Net Daily have made a lot of noise today about the fact the Gwen Ifill, the moderator of Thursday's VP debate, has a new book coming on Inauguration day about Barack Obama and the politics of race -- it's now leading on the front of Drudge.

I think Gwen Ifill needs Secret Service Protection just to make it to the debate.

5. Yes, there is activity on this today on 538.com and Andrew Sullivan's column.
Absolutely nothing will go smoothly or according to plan between now and election day - Mr. and Mrs. Drama Queens and their staffs (helped by the media, I am sure, who do NOT want to see this as an Obama blowout) will help as well.
