Don't be surprised to see Obama's lead narrows after this bailout is signed
McCain is going to portray Obama as the one who helped shepherd an extremely unpopular bill through Congress - and Obama has already helped McCain's cause by giving a speech defending the bailout.

25. Not all of them....
I don't like it, but we need to do something, and it's not going to cost him my vote.

28. Sorry, I don't see being against, and not liking it as the same thing..
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 04:48 PM by 1corona4u
There are people who are just plain against it. As you said, none of us like it, but I am not against it completely.

(hope that wasn't too convoluted, LOL)

33. I don't think you actually read my post
The post I was responding to stated that McCain's voters were against the bill. That's not true. There are also Obama voters who are against it.

Many see it as a necessary evil. They are mutually exclusive.

18. These are such concerning times.
Between the OPs concern about Obama's troubling poll numbers, and your concern about Palin's success in the VP primaries, we might as well just give up and go home.

Since McCain tried to take credit for the bill that failed in the House.

9. The right extremist hate this bill more than the left extremists.
The difference is the the left is smarter. If McCain still has credibility any people, they aren't people who were going to vote for Obama.

one way or the other, he's gone around in too many circles with this. I don't believe he has enough credibility with the public to pull another stunt on this same topic.
