"Cufflinks referring to U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) distributed by campaign staffers with U.S. Republican presidential nominee Senator John McCain (R-AZ) to members of the news media are seen in Nashville, Tennessee October 7, 2008."

10. Yet another backfire stunt.
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 04:22 PM by myrna minx
 Perhaps that's the only way MCCain can get future donations for his campaign, by selling cool Obama swag.

On edit: They are soo transparent too. At least we know McCain is going to bring up the Obama seal and "the One" again. Oooo they think they're a clever bunch. :eyes:

2. If I were McCain, I would be saving my money.
Stupid stunts like cufflinks about Obama and tire gagues seems like a bad idea for their checkbook.

24. instant collector item
I know the McCain campaign is filled with idiots, but certainly they're not stupid enough to think Obama cuff links are a bad thing. Maybe they need the money from Obama supporters? If so, it's a good strategy. Finally. :D

5. One is to make fun of a presidential-seal-type-sign...
...which the Obama campaign used briefly.

The other is to make fun of Oprah Winfrey for calling Obama "The One."

11. From Bloomberg:
McCain, 72, will try to leaven his attacks with humor, said Republican campaign aides, some of whom plan to wear cufflinks with a mock Obama presidential seal. McCain and his surrogates will be ``aggressive truth tellers'' on debate night, said senior adviser Nicolle Wallace. ``I don't accept the premise that that makes the campaign negative.''

19. Hee. I buy so much shit on there.
And I have a feeling these will be prized someday. "Meant to be a putdown of the Democratic nominee's "eliteness", these cufflinks became highly prized collectibles by Democrats in the years following the successful election of President Obama. And no wonder, as the President chose to wear them at his inauguration that year and during his re-election in 2012. Originals bear the "The One" insignia on the reverse, referring to an inflammatory ad released by the infamous McCain campaign, which compared the future President to a pop star and other celebrities, and also implied that Obama was actually the Antichrist."

14. McCain: "We're not elitists. And we have the classy engraved cuff links to prove it!"...

"You'll be able to show Obama for the elitist he is by the cuff links that go with any tailored suit you wear. Be the envy of all your friends at the country club."

I want some even though I don't wear suits! :-P They sure look cool.

WTF is up with the McCain camp's retarded little attempts to make snarky little items that are meant to ridicule Obama but only end up being free advertisements for him? It's not Obama's fault that McCain's spent the money to promote him, is it?

36. This is a continuation of his appearance in Berlin .....
The McCainers made fun of his having a 'seal' on his podium there.

And they passed this around:

"How Dare He?" "How Presumptuous"

It plays well to the base.

If someone passed one pair of those cuff links, they may have come from Obama. If they were passing them out wholesale, they made them in much the same way as the bandaids.

Bankrupt losers ...........
