I think we need some uplifting posts. I remember when John Kennedy was president. Many folks, Catholics especially, had pictures of JFK in their homes. I get it now. I want a picture of President Obama in my home too. But there are so many great ones to choose from. Show me your favorites.

My father is a minister, while NEVER mentioning names, he's been hinting for months from the pulpit, "I believe the Lord raises men to positions of power when the world needs them most," then he throws up some line about Abe Lincoln to throw people off what is othewise an obvious political endorsement.

He's a minister, that's what pays the bills. He does pro-bono work for church members, local NAACP and others. He went to law school but couldn't pay all of his way, his church was willing to pay to send him to "preacher school."

63. I would say, so far, my favorite Pic of Barack is not a pic of him at all.

It is a picture of a youngster running thru the streets holding up a HOPE sign. Hope running thru the streets.

We will have many more memorable moments in the future, but that kid with Hope has my heart.

106. I love this one for a few reasons:

- It was taken at that enormous rally in my town, Portland.

- It shows the genuine family love and closeness they have.

- The rally happened at a time when people were saying white people would not vote for Obama. The crowd is a sea of white people.

- The rally really seemed to blow Obama away. He kept saying "Wow. Wow. Wow." I think it kind of buoyed his spirits and his campaign and he was able to finish out the grueling nominating process successfully.
