8. I have been supporting this guy from the very beginning.
I knew it would be a long shot but now I think it is going to happen. Amazing. Just amazing.

30. Me since the address in 2004 at the Kerry convention
I knew, I had a strong gut feeling, that he was going to be our next president.

1 month to confirm, let's not lost this stupidly and let's hope (and pray) that the Secret Service does its job, I admire these men and women, as I fear there are more than one "well organized militia" out there who have decided to assassinate Obama.

3. I used to get emotional about this race...
and tear up thinking about an Obama win.... until McSame picked Palin and turned the election into a joke.

Since then I haven't cried... I just giggle.

6. Here's to the weird ones
"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square hole, the ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, 'bout the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things, they push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

9. I went to Fox to find their poll.
There wasn't one for the debate, but there was one asking if the Ayers thing was troubling. 66% said NO on Fox! 33% yes.

I don't want to be overly optimistic but I can't help it. I do believe tonight is the end of McCain's campaign.

14. DCBob, you've been callin' 'em right-on for a while now, and tonight's
no different -- I think you're right -- We're < 30 days of hard work away from a deliriously happy outcome on Nov. 4th.

I'm going to be sending in another donation to Obama and one to the DNC.

It's feelling pretty damn good right now.

Obama will win. And I almost never feel confident when it comes to politics.

23. All he needs.
All Obama needs is to take Ohio or Florida and its over on election night. I expect to know who the next POTUS is going to be when the polls close at 11:00 PM.

Ohio with 20 EV or Florida with 27 EV will fall at about 10:45 PM because the polls will close at 8:00 in the East.

Then at 11:00 Washington state will award 11 EV and Oregon will award 7 EV. Then the big one: California will give Obama 55 EV.

With Ohio or Florida it will be either 93 or 100 EV for Obama. By 11:00 PM we will know.

I think we got this.

it's harder for them to steal that way.

20. At least 9 paths to victory
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 11:36 PM by Juche
The Kerry states & Iowa (for 259 EV). THen Obama can get the remaining 11 by various methods

Missouri
Ohio
Indiana
Nevada (or New mexico) and colorado
Nevada & New mexico & 1 EV in Nebraska
Georgia
North Carolina
Florida
Virginia

McCain has to hold ALL of those states to have a chance at winning. Obama only needs one of those scenarios. Polling shows him tied or ahead in most of those states. Considering that Kerry almost won, and would've won had it not been for election fraud in Ohio, Obama is in a good position unless there is massive nationwide election fraud. I made a post about all the ways I think Obama is in a better position than Kerry. Combine that with the fact that Kerry almost won, and Obama is looking good.

21. 3 Weeks! Keep fighting like we are 5 points behind folks
Keep pounding away and don't take anything for granted!

We want an utter crushing defeat for McCain so the Republicans know that the majority of America is ready for change.

Don't go soft now...I am positive too but we must keep up the fight through the finish line in November!

28. I'd be amazed if he didn't
What astonishes me is that it's even close. I don't think McCain ever had much of a chance given that he's an incumbent at a time when public approval ratings are at historic lows. I think if he was to have any shot at all, he should have played up the maverick thing and done a Hillary: blown off his base and pitched shamelessly to the center in the hopes that the base would have no alternative but to follow him even if they didn't like his reaching out to the center. But he opted to play to his base and publicly embraced all of the catastrophic policies which led us to where we are now, at which point no one but the most fanatical Repukes are going to feel good about supporting him. I don't know who advised him, but it was a major blunder to build a campaign on same old, same old when only 9% of the population believes that same old, same old has taken the country in a positive direction.
