just an FYI to all those outraged by the racism displayed by McCain/Palin...
We minorities live and see this and worse every day of our lives. Obama can handle it. Obama has handled it for decades. If he and Michelle didn't know how to deal with it, they would not be able to function it is so common.

I think this is a stark lesson for some of what minorities in this country go through every day...not just during the last throes of an inept candidates campaign.

1. We know HE can handle it...
We're not worried about him taking it, we are worried about some batshit crazy supporter of McCain's getting a bug up his ass after listening to too many McCain/Palin hate fests and trying to blow Obama's brains out.

Clear enough for you?

5. We not concerned about his feelings getting hurt
Sure those nutjobs and racists were out there already but only maybe they just needed a push, a marching order. It's so dangerous and everyone knows this that it is deplorable that they'd be so careless about his safety. They are shameless.

6. I'm more concerned about them going after Obama supporters
in some gutless cowardly way because they can't get to Obama. These people are cowards through and through. They are scared to death of everything. But that doesn't stop them from grabbing a gun and walking into a church full of unarmed people and shooting them.

We have an Obama/Biden sticker on our car. We had some guy driving about a foot off of the back of our car coming home from work the other day. He kept revving up on us and wouldn't let up. He finally got tired of it and went around us to display his McCain/Palin sticker in his back window.

I was upset and said he could have smashed us. My daughter started laughing and when I asked what was so funny she said, "he's driving a Ford Focus, Mom." It made me laugh.

7. Yes, the hatred is scary and it is offensive that it comes from
a **U.S. PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN**.

I, as a citizen and taxpayer, am deeply offended and would like it to cease.

Immediately.

10. Think about it this way... When Obama wins.....
One of the greatest barriers will be broken in the western world.
Imagine what progress can happen after that!

Their campaign and the media will get nastier and nastier
until the election. Then as things progress and we start taking back
the media and having real fair and balanced media, the public's perception
will begin to change on not just race but the environment, gay rights, gender rights, education
and so many more that have not been dreamed about.

I see this election as one the most revolutionary elections in US history
that can create and begin revolutionary changes in consciousness and
for the betterment of mankind.

13. Thank you for saying that.
I also agree that this cannot be ignored because it has to do with not only the safety of Mr. Obama, but for the folks who support him.

That's why these incidents cannot be ignored.

15. My problem is John Sidney McCain III....
a United States Senator making these kinds of allegations against another United States Senator, for the purpose of the result we are seeing. Fuck what the yahoo assholes are doing, but Mr. McCain needs to take responsibility for what 'he' is doing.

17. This hatred, fear, and anger is not a "new" phenomenom from the bigoted right wing
I agree. This is business as usual for them. Now, down in the polls and losing support on every issue they only have one last issue.

20. He knows he can't react to this, but if someone were attacking his wife
or children he would confront it. And we have the liberty to do that.
