Christ on a crutch...every single week it gets worse and worse. John McCain has found himself saddled with not only a fanatic for a running mate, but a fanatic who has broken the laws of the state of which she is governor. He tries to look like a leader on the economic issue and ends up looking like a fool when his own party disses him. He tries to attack his opponents character and ends up inciting race based rage in his supporters and has to backtrack.

You know what...he just might withdraw from the race. I am NOT fond of McCain, but I saw the look on his face when he was trying to cool that crowd down. He was freaked out. I think he has found himself in a place he never wanted to be. Maybe he is starting to think that being President isn't worth it.

1. If you think he was freaked out by that crowd,
wait until he finds out Sarah's supporters are praying imprecatory prayers for his salvation followed immediately by his departure from this earth!

3. No shit. I will say this for him, I don't believe all that stuff about him being a coward.
Not with that evil cow standing behind him. He has to be brave to be willing to stand between her and the Presidency.

4. those aren't nominees
Dole was just dull, not dangerous.

Dukakis maybe.

Kerry ran a fine race.

There's been lost causes like Alf Landon or Goldwater. Neither was this bad.

Really, to find anything this wretched you're back to Howard Taft in 1912, the last Dem or Repug to finish third.
