Because they desperately want OBAMA to win now.

All their wealth is bound up in this financial disaster and the only chance they have to keep it is to have intelligent financial management come from the White House.

If McCain gets in there, they know that by the end of his term they will all probably be selling pencils on the street. Personal wealth trumps any other ideological concepts.

Obama is the only hope they have of remaining obscenely rich.
