1. We are weeks away from the election. It's past time to move past the primary.

10. Um.... has nothing to do with the primary.
It's a fair statement everyone agrees on that Clinton was horribly stalked by the Republicans. The question is, will Obama's treatment be even worse, possibly exacerbated by racism?

There's nothing about the "primary" in that.

3. Obama I think will be readier and less vulnerable -- RW may have its ass handed to them this time
The Clintons almost seemed to deliberately leave a trail of breadcrumbs of enticing possibly scandalous (and sometimes really scandalous) info for Repubs to seize upon. It was almost like a strategy. I don't imagine a President Obama doing this.

I must confess that I am far to the left of both Obama and Clinton, and not particularly a fan of the Clintons, in particular, either. Hopefully Obama won't be out to frustrate reform but to pursue it, even if it isn't by any means necessarily the kind of reform (eg single payer) that progressives support

5. I agree. I think Obama will present less of a target -
he is not self-destructive as Bill was/is, and I think the republicans will have a lot of other problems to deal with, such as trying to hold what is left of their party together. I believe the Republicans will also lose big in congress and other elections.
Obama will get a lot of the usual shit from Rush, Patty Buchanan, etc, but any Democrat will, and after the fascist collection of lies from the McCain campaign, what can they come up with that is worse?

Obama will be a great President.

4. It will be more intense
But it will also look more stupid. I don't think Obama is going to be as dumb as Bill was and hand his enemies potentially lethal ammunition like Billy Boy did. If Clinton had simply acted a little differently, neither he nor the rest of the country would ever have been put through that farce.
