How Obama's association with Reverend Wright can be used to help him.
Much has been made by the MSM and the Republicans regarding Reverend Wright and Obama's association with him. What's the big deal? Because Mr. Wright said some things that some people took out of context and misconstrued as being anti-American? So what?

Here's how Obama's association with Reverend Jeremiah Wright actually helps Obama.

1.) It completely, utterly, 100% without-a-doubt, dispels the notion that Barack Obama is an Arab and a Muslim.

Reverend Wright was the minister of Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC). He is a Baptist. Hear that? Baptist. That means >>> CHRISTIAN <<<.

Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ, meaning he too is >>> CHRISTIAN <<<. Why would an Arab Muslim be a member of a Baptist >>> CHRISTIAN <<< church for decades?

Barack Obama's association with United Church of Christ and Reverend Wright disproves any notion he's a Muslim. Not that there's anything wrong with being a Muslim. I have several Muslim friends, and they are much more level-headed and intelligent than some of the people attending McCain-Palin rallies these days.

2.) Jeremiah Wright served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Medic.

That's correct. That mad, anti-American preacher was a member of the United States Marine Corps. Oops, he's a military veteran. That sort of undercuts the argument that he's anti-American doesn't it?

3.) Later, as a medical technician at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, Jeremiah Wright was deemed qualified enough to assist the White House physician and team doctors in treating President Lyndon B. Johnson when he got sick.

Here's a photo obtained from Jeremiah Wright's Wikipedia entry, along with an overlay of the White House letter thanking Mr. Wright for his service in this capacity.

Wow, that radical anti-American Jeremiah Wright was a member of the USMC as a Medic, and deemed safe enough by President LBJ's staff and doctors to assist in the care of the "leader of the free world".

There you have it. I would be proud to be associated with Reverend Wright.

1. Funny thing...Repubs (+other Low-Info Voters) will see him as BOTH an Arab/Muslim AND a Christian

Its like how most people believe in the incorrect amalgomations of the belief that we are all one people created exactly in the image of god, but contradictory also believe at the same time their misguided, grossly misunderstood meanings of genetics and evolution.

Makes no sense to me but i have found in my life that people tend to pick and choose what to believe and disregard any notion that they might be contradictory simply because it serves to make them feel better in the end.

2. Yeah, unfortunately you are correct in this regard.
I have met people who stick with "what they know" despite all evidence to the contrary.
