Diageo-Hotline Poll: Obama moves from 7% lead to 10% lead.

Yet the talking head from CNN was saying this morning that the race was "tightening".

Working this average into the latest RCP poll average, my math says the race is wider than it's EVER been (was 7.5% at one point in June; this makes it 7.7%).

And this polling includes only days before the Troopergate finding and McCain defending Obama.

3. What a bizarre poll
Wasn't it tied in Hotline on Tuesday? Something is very screwy with their methods. Can't argue with the newest result, though.

9. Gallup worriers
Given that Rasmussen and Diego are trending up I don't think we need to worry about Gallup trending down. As long as these polls keep offsetting each other there is NO evidence of a downward trend for Obama.

One final point, Chuckie T. (love him or hate him) is on record stating that who ever has the lead on October 15th will win this thing. It is almost a certainty that Obama will have a 5-8 point lead at that time. No complacency though, if you can help the Obama campaign with anything at all right now, please do it!

5. Get used to them calling it "tightening" from here on out
I doubt Obama has much more room to move up, but I hope I'm wrong.

10. You'd have to have you head so far directly up you ass to say this is "tightening"
Only Zogby who is still recovering from telling us Kerry would win in 2004 is lower and went slightly down today. C'mon people, think about what Zogby is trying to compensate for!

13. And, note that RCP refuses (for obviously partisan reasons) to include the R2K/Kos poll in their avg
Which has a 12 point edge for the Good Guy.
