Gramps: "I'm gonna end abuses of power."
I can't believe he's using the terms that are levelled at his runningmate this morning.

This man is so confused.

2. The charges were more than leveled at her. She was nailed.
For the rest of what might remain of her campaign, she will wear a scarlet "A" for abuse.

9. Maybe someone should tell John that his VP pick
was just nailed for that very offense? Maybe his campaign didn't tell him........and he doesn't do the net. You sure don't hear it on TV so, maybe he doesn't know?

16. THIS is exactly why
Obama/Biden needs to make more of an issue out of Troopergate!

I understand that so far they have rightly focused their attention at the top of the ticket - but this is an issue that has a direct bearing on McCain's own judgment, not to mention hypocrisy.

18. That's a Republican technique too. Twist your transgressions to be the opposite.
Earlier example is McLiar turning into a pro-regulation guy when we have several video clips of his proudly declaring himself to be solidly anti-regulation.

Now he's against abuses of power even though he abused his power to protect his wife in her prescription stealing fiasco years ago.

He abused his power in promoting lobbyist Vicki Iseman's deals. And stalling banking regulations to help Charles Keating and got burned there.

And oh yeah, picked stiletto Sarah, who has just been found guilty of a not illegal but unethical abuse of power.

Never mind her including her First Dude in government business, even though no one elected or hired him to be there.

Etc. Etc.

Just declare you don't do it and your diehard fans will believe you against all the evidence, is I guess what the RNC premise is.

The RNC, and such guiding lights as Nicole Wallace, are very dedicated to the proposition that THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS. Any amount of lying and cheating is okay because you are dedicated to getting the best person into office. Says Who? Says You !! And God !!
