this how this Ayers bullshit got started last Saturday it was (abuse of power)Palin who mentioned the Ayers shit and then the media ran with it and now I'm starting to see the latest about Obama is radical on abortion i have seen more pundits respond to this than the Trooper Gate report that just came out.

2. Cause the stinking media has EVERYTHING to lose this election.. Just look at their advertisers..
Big Pharma, Exxon Mobile, GE, Etc.....

They have to spin this or they stand to lose advertising money.

McCain loses, big business loses.

3. Because our corporate media don't want Obama to win.
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 01:41 PM by FrenchieCat
it really is that simple.

Those who believe that the media is anything less than totally in the tank for McCain are wrong. The media is encouraging doubts of all kind to be sowed into the minds of the voters, because that is the only way that McCain could even get close. They are gambling that a voter might just go into that voting booth, add up all of the trumped up negatives about Obama including his race, and vote for McCain. That has always been the plan. That is the approach that Obama said Republicans would use, and the media is a Republican tool; no doubt about it.

Watch for the last week prior to the election to be about "split" government. How it isn't good to have one party run two branches of the government....and they will point to the Bush administration for proof. The media will go with that. What they don't realize is that people want change, not gridlock. In fact, we need to get the counter argument on this issue before they start....and believe you me, that is their next salvo.

And of course, the irony of McCain saying he would fire the SEC head because of his Breach of Public Trust, and now Palin has that exact same charge against her will elude the corporate media quite by design.

4. Because for the most part, the media reads talking points faxed over from
the RNC or the McSewer HQ and pretends they're reporting the news. The points the media squawking heads bring up are often the same points the gop shills bring up when they appear.

Either the Dems are weak when it comes to pushing stories with the media, or the media just chooses to ignore what the Dems are pushing.

Have I mentioned lately how much I despise the corporate media? :nuke:

5. Because it is the Republicans only talking point
The media doesn't take the Ayers thing seriously, but McCain' surrogates are mentioning it every moment they can.

The Obama campaign is focused on making the economy the issue. If they can get everyone of their surrogates to mention Trooper Gate constantly, it would get reported more.

6. Same thing they did with Hillary's attacks in the primaries--she would
fling the daily poo, the media would spend all day discussing the merits of it, she ended up winning more states than she otherwise would have and prolonged the race.

7. 24/7 commercial ads of McSame wouldn't change the polls in enough time to win.
With 3 weeks left Obama can campaign for McSame and he still wouldn't win!

But for me it's not enough. I'm won't be satisfied with McSame in congress. I also want to see McSame giving apology speeches to Obama for calling him a terrorist, and I want to see this corrupt senator thrown out of congress at the next election. How can anyone let this corrupt person stay on in the senate when we see the corruption of the Keatiing scandal and this crisis today, and with McSame's hands in both, and we know how close he is to Bush. No, this man is as crooked as they come. And why you only hear words such as crooks being portrayed toward Obama's associations.

9. What the hell is there left to be said about abortion?
At this point in time, how can a switch to that really gain independents or moderates?
