Is this just the beginning? Will Obama constantly fight
smears while he is president?

I like to think that there are lots of republican politicians who actually like Obama (more than they like McCain since he "fights his party" and is no Miss Congeniality) BUT is this what we will have to put up with? Constant attacks?

At least we should have dem majority.

I just have feeling this won't stop after he is president. Some people are so scared of him being in power.

1. Do you remember 1992?
The right went after Clinton from his inauguration until the day he handed over control to numbskull.

2. And after
The Washington Post printed the false accusation that Clinton trashed Air Force One. I think the Post also printed
the false accusation that the Clintons stole furniture from the White House

4. I know that's what I'm thinking of. I feel like I will always have to
be on the defensive. Especially leaving in red area

3. We have to go through this some time
These are the same people who were "scared" of blacks getting voting rights, moving into the neighborhood or getting hired at the office or being granted freedom from slavery, etc.... this is a stepping stone in American History, and those people have resented all rights that have been extended. There has to be a first of everything and the people who are so scared have to deal with it. What they then do is delve into right wing radio where they can express their hatred and whine about "political correctness."

But in a current, right in this moment sense, I think you are onto something. They are already hateful to the extreme of pols like Pres Clinton. They will RESENT Obama because he does represent, in every sense of the word, change. However, he has enourmous political skill and I believe he will be able to build coalitions among various groups. These idiots are not going away quietly. But that does not mean anything. We are not beholden to wait until they are "ready."

7. I know, they still can't get over their hatred of Clinton because
he was successful. They still blame him for everything!

I think Obama will be just as successful if not more and that will really make them mad!
