7. The booing was thunderous and unmistakable, so they jacked the sound up to 11
and it still couldn't completely mask the crowd. Wow.

2. Yup, they tried to drown it out
It didn't work. She tried to hide behind her kids. That didn't work either.

4. Wait till the homegrown videos make it to You Tube
Perhaps showing the crowd giving P-girl the thumbs down while booing it up.

9. The Cardinals' organization did the same thing when Bush*
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 06:22 PM by ikojo
showed up in 2004 to throw the first pitch on opening day (Cards lost, unfortunately Bush* did not). People booed but unless you were on DU or there, the corporate media didn't report it.

11. the media has changed a lot since 2004
Amazing how much the internet can evolve, in only four years. And this is just the beginning. Most people still don't know how useful the internet is for Democracy.

12. It took a 2nd viewing at one of the YouTubes posted here
before I could tune my ears into the boos because the music was so loud. You can actually hear it at the very beginning, literally under the music, in what appeared to be a continuous buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu (with a wide "u" rather than a rounded "ou") before they cranked the music to block it! I await the homemade videos to get the true crowd sounds!!!!

And someone pointed out and I confirmed that she tapped the handler standing next to her and mouthed - "They're booing me".

You think lady?

20. What's even better - the music didn't work nearly well enough
Those boos were astounding. You can even see in some of the crowd pans that a lot of fans had Obama signs too!

They really tried their best to drown out the boos, but the people who did that probably don't know a damn thing about Philly or Philly fans. What's even more hilarious is the reaction Palin had coming out of the tunnel - "Their booing me?"
