Roger Stone, Republican strategist on CNN calling Obama "dangerous".
And he says McCain should do the same. I thought McCain was trying to stop this talk.:sarcasm:

2. Did he expound on "dangerous"?
Dangerous because he's a Black islamic Extremist? Dangerous because he's a Tax and Spend Democrat? Dangerous because he has no experience? in what context? And... what was the response to his statement? Thanks.

9. Well, come to think of it, just using the word "dangerous" is probably enough.
Don't muddle the minds of the masses with additional info, just give them a word to cling to -- Dangerous. :grr:

10. McPalin is reckless, we know that.
That pattern is well-established. How many planes did he have "careless accidents" in...playing around, not paying attention, using poor judgment? Except for age, has anything really changed? I don't think so. The gambler still gambles...and, to me, that's dangerous.

6. Heck, the conservatives I've been talking to at another board
have given me the impression that they think ALL leftists are dangerous! It's a non-political board that erupts into politics every election year, and we try to keep it civil, but I'm having difficulty, especially when they say that its the left doing "dirty tricks" and "planting" the folks in crowds saying "Kill him". I related an incident from 2003 when I was protesting the war and my group was attacked by a deranged right winger. Haven't heard back about it--but felt it important to relate. This "dangerous" talk is in and of itself dangerous.

15. He sure distorted the "illegals on social security" thing.
Anybody should know that social security is earned by years of "reported" income. We're asking these "partisan dogs" to change their spots overnight, and it's just not possible.

him, had mentioned he was involved in dirty tactics in other campaigns.

14. I wonder if he ever agreed with this strategy
He made some bad decisions when he decided to allow the GOP to call his shots. It is pretty messed up to let someone else tell you what you should be believing.

19. Who is Roger Stone?
Deja DU: Who is Roger Stone, Jr.? Buckley, Nixon, Reagan, Bush operative.
Jun-07-07 - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x1029113#1063284

"Roger J. Stone, Jr. is a long-time Republican dirty-tricks operative who led the mob that shut down the Miami-Dade County recount and helped make George W. Bush president in 2000. He was also a campaign strategist during the presidential campaigns of Presidents Nixon, Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush. He is the chairman of the Fort Hill Group, a Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm...." (From http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Sto... )

This is another case of illegal and stealth funding. "... During the 2004 presidential primary, Stone served as a behind-the-scenes consultant to black firebrand Al Sharpton's campaign to win the Democratic Party nomination, prompting speculation that Sharpton's campaign was actually a stealth operation to weaken the party's chances of winning in the general election."

Roger Stone, Jr., began his career volunteering for William F. Buckley’s 1965 mayoral campaign .............

A broken economy?

25. Sorry, roger, Obama comes across as anything but dangerous.
He's calm, cool and collected pretty much always. People want steady leadership in a crisis, and the only candidate displaying that is Obama. mccain is all over the map. mccain is dangerous. mccain is erratic.

roger, you're making a fool of yourself, but that seems to be what you do best.

Obama is dangerous.

...dangerous to your policy for unyielding support of a war that more than two-thirds of the country has turned against.

...dangerous by discarding Cheney's unilateral warmongering "1% Doctrine" and makeing diplomacy the cornerstone of his approach to foreign relations.

...dangerous for re-instituting governance in the Phil Gramm and John McCain economic policy of deregulation and implementing rules for shills like McCain's crony Freddie Mac lobbyist Rick Davis.

...dangerous for boosting oversight of financial institutions that ran amok in credit markets and on traders who dabble in market manipulation.

...dangerous for opposing the McCain record of voting against veterans' health care needs 29 times and lobbying against a 21st Century GI Bill that he thought was "too generous"

...dangerous for opposing the McCain plan of social security privatization.

...dangerous for ending the Bush tax cuts that favour the wealthiest 2% of Americans.

...dangerous for picking a running mate with a proven track record unlike McCain's choice who is even giving Republicans pause.

Oh by the way, that vaunted McCain foreign policy and military expertise? He does have an advantage here; in his career he crashed three fighter jets, two in non-combat incidents without a single kill.

Yep, Barack Obama is dangerous.
